The Social Reintegration for Returnees and Internally Displaced Persons-Economic Prospects for Host Communities in West Afghanistan (BMZ) Project aims to support the social and economic integration of returnees and internally displaced persons in the host communities of Herat-Rubat Sangi District and Farah Province. The project, funded by TDH-Germany, focuses on various activities such as agriculture, vocational training, psychosocial counseling, and peace-building. With two centers established in Herat and Farah, a total of 20 staff members will work towards assisting 12,622 beneficiaries, including IDPs, returnees, and host communities. The project, which started on November 1, 2019, and is set to conclude on September 30, 2024, aims to create a more sustainable and inclusive environment for those affected by displacement in Afghanistan.
