WASSA, in partnership with UN Women Afghanistan, is proud to announce the distribution of first aid kits to 600 dedicated community health workers (CHWs) in Herat, Farah, and Badghis provinces through EVAW project. These volunteers, vital to their communities, are receiving extensive first aid training to equip them with the necessary skills to handle medical emergencies in villages where healthcare facilities are limited. By empowering these individuals through this training, WASSA is helping improve the quality of community-based health care, ensuring better safety and well-being for households. As part of Afghanistan’s BHPS system, these CHWs are strengthening the healthcare network by identifying and addressing local health needs. Upon completion of the training, they will be given their first aid kits and certificates, ready to serve their communities with invaluable skills. These volunteers are true heroes, delivering critical healthcare where it’s most needed.
