Fruit Processing Skills Training

WASSA, with the support of UNHCR, has launched the Fruit Processing Program 2025 in Herat and Badghis provinces, benefiting 115 participants (56 males and 59 females) who were selected through WASSA’s Kobo system and face-to-face interviews. Over six days of comprehensive theoretical and practical training, participants will learn fruit processing skills, and in Herat, beneficiaries have already received raw grapes for practice. Each participant will also be equipped with a toolkit and a solar drying machine to produce different types of dried fruits. Most of the selected participants are refugee returnees, and through this program they are gaining the opportunity to build sustainable livelihoods and create income sources for their families.
