It was a privilege that Mr. Muhammad Sakhi, Executive Director of WASSA, was invited to the Afghanistan Donors Coordination Group meeting in Tashkent, Uzbekistan to present on the localization agenda and progress in Afghanistan.

He shared insights from the ground, emphasizing that Afghan actors operating inside the country should be included in all strategic discussions and decision-making platforms, with their voices actively heard, respected, and valued.

He also highlighted that relationships with donors, foreign governments, and UN partners should be based on mutual respect, accountability, and shared vision.

It was encouraging to see the commitment of donors, foreign governments, and UN partners to advance localization and strengthen support for local communities.
