World Food Day

On World Food Day, WASSA reaffirms its commitment to ensuring food security, improving nutrition, and supporting vulnerable families across Afghanistan.

Through its various projects and in partnership with national/international organizations and UN Agencies, WASSA operates in most provinces of the country and works in several key areas:

Providing general food assistance to low-income and vulnerable families in local communities,

Responding rapidly to emergency and crisis situations,

Distributing hot meals and nutritious biscuits to returnees and deportees at the Islam Qala border,

And providing nutritional supplements to prevent and treat malnutrition among children, mothers, and other vulnerable groups.

WASSA believes that access to safe and sufficient food is a basic human right. We continue our efforts to reduce hunger, promote health, and build a more humane future.⁩
